Alessio Duranti’s photographic exhibition entitled “E questo è il fiore” (“And this is the flower”, a phrase from the famous partisan song “Bella ciao”) opens on Wednesday 10 April at the gallery of the Museum of the Battle of the Senio.
The exhibition is dedicated to the theme of Memory through the symbolic places of History, where other generations are called today to share and remember the same ideals of 80 years ago. Rome, Auschwitz, Trieste, Fossoli, Sant’Anna di Stazzema, Marzabotto, Alfonsine… some of the war-torn sites visited by the photographer become the starting point for new research on Memory, the Resistance and the places where the Nazi-fascist atrocities took place in their relevance.
Entrance is free. The exhibition will be open until 2 May 2024 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8.30 am to 1 pm, on Wednesdays from 8.30 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm; on Saturdays from 8.30 am to 12 am and Sundays on request.
